ALL is set for the PPC Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) to be held on Saturday at the Country Club in Newlands, Harare.
The event is meant to honour the country’s various musicians who have excelled in their craft.
Organisers of the awards confirmed that everything is “now in place for the highly disruptive hybrid of a virtual and physical event”.
This year’s focus will be on the ‘Collaboration of the Year’ category.
Roki’s collaboration with Koffi Olomide and Rayvanny, “Patati Patata”, is among the top competing songs.
We also have Janet Manyowa and Takesure Zamar’s “Mutsvene”, Mai TT and Baba Harare with “Rita”, Nox, Freeman HKD alongside Tyfah Guni come with “Unobvuma Here”, while DJ Zandimazi featuring Nhlanhla and Nutty O are armed with “Ngifuna Wena”.
Without a doubt, this is a tightly contested category.
Nutty O has more than five nominations, and it remains to be seen if he will become the first artiste to win the highest number of gongs in the PPC ZIMA awards.
