CHIPINGE Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are set to benefit from a Government loan scheme that will boost their businesses.

A lot of businesses in the district were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and some SMEs have limited funding for expansion.

In an interview with The Manica Post, the chairperson of Chipinge SMEs chamber, Ms Violet, Banda confirmed the development.

“We will come up with a data base of all our SMEs and assist them to get affordable loans from Government funds,” she said.

Ms Banda said institutions like women and youth banks will also assist in the programme.

“We will not leave anyone behind .We will work with everyone including people with disabilities, women and youths. We are working with women and youth banks in our programme,” she added.

Ms Banda said her board which was elected into office recently is also working on a district constitution which will guide their day-to-day operations.

“We are working on our district constitution derived from the national constitution so that we will be able to run the chamber smoothly. We have lined up a meeting with all stakeholders to give them feedback on our plans and their approval,” she said.
