THE Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association (ZBCA) and the European Union’s Africa RISE (Reform for Investment and Sustainable Economies) have entered a partnership aimed at promoting environment-friendly business practices.

Africa RISE is a facility designed to provide technical assistance on business development.

ZBCA chief executive officer Mr Crispen Tsvarai said over 50 members from the organisation recently met to develop sustainable waste management models, among other initiatives.

“The Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association is excited to be hosting this event in partnership with the EU-funded project Africa RISE,” he said.

“The ZBCA remains committed to helping Zimbabwe attain its transition to the circular economy more successfully.”

Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana are the initial focus of the project before it is rolled out to other countries in the region.
