NEW: By-election ballot papers printed

BALLOT papers for the upcoming by-elections have been printed. 

The by-elections are set for March 26. 

870 550 and 723 750 ballot papers for the National Assembly and Local Authority polls, respectively, have been printed. 

In an election notice on Wednesday, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) chief elections officer, Mr Utoile Silaigwana, said Fidelity Printers and Refiners printed ballot papers for National Assembly polls, while Printflow (Pvt) Ltd printed ballot papers for the Local Authority polls. 

“A contingency of 6,99 percent has been added to the ballots printed for the National Assembly by-elections and a 6,71 percent contingency has been added to the ballots printed for local authority by-elections,” he said. 

“The ballot papers were printed in books of fifty each so the number of books to be allocated to each polling station are as specified in the tenth column.”
