GOVERNMENT has approved the Judicial Laws Amendment Bill, which seeks to provide for virtual court sessions in both civil and criminal proceedings.
Addressing a post-Cabinet briefing on Wednesday, acting Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu said:
“Cabinet has advised that the Judicial Laws Amendment Bill 2022 has been approved. The Bill seeks to provide for virtual court sessions.
“The Bill also provides for the establishment of the offices of the Messenger of Labour Court to enforce judgments.”
The Bill seeks to bring into line various provisions of the country’s judicial laws to the Constitution.
