M-Net Movies Zone (Channel 139) will feature a mixed bag of content, from dramas, comedies and family movies, to films that will satisfy the action fans. It will treat its viewers to a wide range of well-loved stars and movies from recent years.
Mzansi Wethu (Channel 163) is a new addition to the Mzansi stable under the M-Net banner and is a locally focused general entertainment channel that will broadcast game shows, soaps, bubblegum movies and reality shows. Its programmes will reflect the day-to-day reality of Southern Africans.
M-Net Movies Zone yesterday launched at 1pm while Mzansi Wethu started broadcasting at 6pm.
Said Ms Dziva: “These two new channels will complement and expand existing channels and enhance the viewing experience and overall value of all DStv’s packages.
Over the past few months, DStv has added 10 new channels, plus an HD channel, to the Premium bouquet, boosted by the two new additions. Compact customers have received seven new channels and Access customers received five.
