MUSIC promoter Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza, who recently organised a Zimdancehall show in memory of the late Soul Jah Love, will on September 3 host a Zim hip-hop show in Harare.

Dubbed “Face off Hip-hop and Amapiano Fest”,  the show will feature the country’s top hip-hop artists, among them Holy Ten, Stunner, Leo Magozz, Voltz JT and Saintflow.

In the past, Chipaz worked mostly with sungura and Zimdancehall artists.

He, however, reckons Zim hip-hop is fast becoming one of the most popular music genres in the country.

“Zim hip-hop is a fast-growing genre that we cannot afford to ignore.

“From the streets to the social media platforms, Zim hip-hop is currently making waves,” the renowned music promoter said.

For over two decades, Chipaz has been promoting mostly sungura and dancehall shows, and has worked with the majority of the country’s top artists.
