FAST-RISING Chipinge-based gospel musician, Liberty Mazibiye, is taking his career to another level and is now eyeing the regional market if the waves he is making in the neighbouring Mozambique are anything to go by.

A teacher by profession, the musician has so far recorded 20 gospel tracks since venturing into the industry in 2020.

Mazibiye, who has relocated to Mozambique, said his music is making a huge impact in the neighbouring country where it is getting generous airplay on radio stations and receiving positive feedback from fans, especially on social media platforms.

“I am delighted with the response my music is receiving, both on radio stations and from the fans. The establishment of community radio stations is a positive development for us musicians as it provides a platform for our music to be played. This motivates me to continue working hard and produce more music,” he said.

Mazibiye said he is encouraged by the following he is getting in Mozambique where he is carving a niche for myself.

He added: “Our country, Zimbabwe and some communities in neighbouring Mozambique share similar cultures and this has helped in having my music well received as the people can relate to the message.”

“I am itching to have a collaboration with artiste in Mozambique.”
