Delegations from the African Apostolic Church and the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) today paid courtesy calls on President Mnangagwa at State House in Harare.

The African Apostolic Church’s General Secretary, Bishop Prosper Giles Rusike, said they had visited the President to express gratitude for conferring national hero status on the church’s founder, Apostle Paul Mwazha, who died in November last year at the age of 107.

“We came to thank His Excellency for the honour bestowed on our founding father, Apostle Paul Mwazha,” said Bishop Rusike.

In a separate interview, the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Moderator, Reverend Gibson Botomani, said the delegation had come to introduce the church’s new leadership to President Mnangagwa.

Rev Botomani said the church and Government continued to enjoy cordial relations, adding that the engagement reaffirmed their commitment to working together on issues of national development.
