NEW: Covid-19 infections show upward trajectory

Zimbabwe recorded three Covid-19 deaths and 2 555 new infections on Monday, an increase from 523 cases recorded on Sunday.

The three deaths were recorded in Harare, Manicaland and Masvingo provinces, respectively.

According to latest data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, 3 882 255 people across the country have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

“As at 6 December 2021, Zimbabwe had 141 601 confirmed cases, including 128 966 recoveries and 4 713 deaths.

“To date, a total of 3 882 255 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19,” reads the statement in part.

“2 555 new cases (all local) and three deaths reported today. (Seven-day rolling for new cases rises to 1 054 from 722 yesterday).”
