NEW: Delta Beverages loses US$20k, ZAR18k to armed robbers

SIX armed robbers vanished with cash amounting to US$20 965 and 18 750 rand, after attacking security guards, a truck driver and a cashier at a Delta Beverages depot facility in Chipinge on Monday.

Police are now hunting for the suspects.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a case of robbery, which occurred at Delta Beverages Depot, Chipinge on May 22 2023,” reads part of the statement from police.

“Six unknown suspects armed with unidentified pistols attacked security guards, a truck driver and a cashier before stealing US$20 965 and 18 750 rand cash.”
