NEW: DeMbare near end-of-pre-season preps

Online Reporter

DYNAMOS FC are expected to complete a hectic pre-season campaign with a friendly match against Dulibadzimu United in Beitbridge on Sunday.

With the 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League kicking off in a fortnight, DeMbare will test their resolve to play after travelling long distances when they face Dulibadzimu in the border town.

Coincidentally, the hot conditions in Beitbridge are almost similar to the weather in Hwange, where Dynamos open their 2023 season with a date against Hwange FC.

Dynamos coach Herbert Maruwa has described the pre-season preparations as satisfactory.

“So far so good, we can’t complain,” he said.

DeMbare have been busy both in the boardroom and on the pitch.

They signed over 10 players, including Denver Mukamba, Eli Ilunga, Arthur “Diego” Musiyiwa, Kelvin and Elvis Moyo, and Nyasha Chintuli.

Tanaka “Kante” Shandirwa, Donald Mudadi, Tendai Matindife and Keith Madera are also now at the Glamour Boys.

Central midfielder Shandirwa has been a shining light for DeMbare in the pre-season games they have played so far.

The club have so far played Division Two side Mabvuku United, Sheasham, Cranborne Bullets and Black Rhinos.

They beat Rhinos 2-1 at Chinhoyi Stadium, with Emmanuel Paga and Elvis Moyo on target.

Beitbridge-based player/manager Clemence Mabhidhi says fans in Beitbridge are excited about the prospect of Dynamos’ visit.

“It’s good for big teams to also come down here and play.

“It inspires local players here, as much as it also creates entertainment for the Beitbridge football fans,” said Mabhidhi.
