FORMER Mighty Warriors striker Rudo Neshamba has become the latest high-profile football personality to join Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe.

Neshamba, who was part of the historic Mighty Warriors squad that qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games, has joined the academy as a coach.

“Rudo (Neshamba) joins our campus to pursue her coaching career, as we advance the evolution of our women’s teams.

“It’s an exciting chapter in the vision of Real Betis Academy in Zimbabwe,” said the academy’s chairperson, Gerald Sibanda.

“She brings a lot of experience, mentorship and leadership skills to all our players, both boys and girls.”

Neshamba follows in the footsteps of other former footballers like Murape Murape, Gift Lunga, Zenzo Moyo and Tichaona Diya, who have worked with Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe.

“I am happy to join Betis, the academy has shown great progress over the years in Zimbabwe,” said Neshamba.

“I will bring my experience from my journey in football as a player and look forward to learning and developing as a coach under the guidance of the Real Betis technical support.”
