The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on Monday intercepted cocaine worth $7 million at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport following a tip-off.
In a statement Tuesday evening, police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the cocaine, weighing one kilogramme, was stashed in an unnamed female foreign suspect’s undergarments.
“The suspect has been placed under surveillance as she is believed to have ingested some of the plastic balls containing the cocaine in a bid to avoid detection at the airport,” reads the statement in part.
