TWO Marange men recently appeared at the Mutare Magistrates’ Court facing rape charges after one of them forced himself on a juvenile with the aid of his colleague.
Zachariah Binga (30) and Last Chimbadzo (35) pleaded guilty when they appeared before Mutare magistrate Ms Prisca Manhibi.
Prosecuting, Ms Talent Nyamuzuwe said the pair took advantage of the 17-year-old juvenile, who is suspected to be a mental health patient, to abuse her.
“Sometime this month, the duo lured the complainant to a secluded place and raped her. Binga forced himself on the juvenile while his colleague Chimbadzo kept guard,” said Ms Nyamuzuwe.
The pair was remanded in custody to March 3 for sentencing.
