ENGLAND Under-19 booked their place in the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup final after a 27-run victory over defending champions Australia at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Tuesday.
England set Australia 277 runs to chase after electing to bat, with captain Thomas Rew’s 110 laying a solid foundation for the victory.
Australian captain Oliver Peake kept his side in the contest with a valiant 100 runs, but he could not push them over the line.
England will now meet the winner between Afghanistan and India in the final on Friday. The two Asian teams meet on Wednesday at Harare Sports Club in the second semi-final.
