New film tackles love

longlasting happiness in relationships in the African context, using teachings from the Bible.
It also tackles many nagging questions that generally affect people who are in love and in relationships while providing practical and realistic answers.
In the film seven youths are asked the same questions and through their responses, they reveal the general view of how people view love and relationships.
The married couples are also asked the same questions as the unmarried youths and interestingly, they give the same answers.
The cast includes Memory Dube, Loyce Murengami, Francesca Williams, Norman Nastro Phiri, Muchineripi Chinyanganya, who is the Deputy Mayor of the City of Kadoma and Prince Dandure, a Form Four student at Waverly High School.
Highlights of the film include Prince’s view that there is nothing like true love. He says love is a thing long lost in childhood.
Another character — Alfa — thinks everything about love and relationships is hinged on sex.
The film was written, produced, directed and edited by Mataro, the managing producer of Lesaint Studios. He is a self-taught music and film producer, recording artiste and author.
His career in music started when he was 14 years old when he recorded his music with Virgo Studios in Kadoma as well as Country Boy Records.
His music was lukewarm and never got to be played on radio stations. He then decided to start Lesaint Studios using money from his mining business in 2005.
In 2008, Mataro went into full-time mining while at the same time writing two yet-to-be published books — “Dinner with Celebrities” and “The Hidden Secrets of the Jews” — a book that studies how ancient biblical nation of Israel’s spiritual laws were instrumental in their becoming a very successful race throughout the centuries.
