The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (Zimstat) on Thursday enumerated the First Family at State House in Harare, as the 2022 census begins.

The 2022 Population and Housing Census commenced on Thursday and will end on April 30.

Zimstat director-general Mr Taguma Mahonde said they were delighted that President Mnangagwa had given them an opportunity to do their work.

“It is gratifying that the First Family took time off their immensely busy schedule to be part of this exercise. This shows that it is important to conduct this census,” he said.

The public was urged to cooperate with enumerators.

“This exercise is national and non-segregative, and the information that we provide is treated with confidentiality. I encourage Zimbabweans to cooperate during this important exercise.”
