FOUR teams are in contention for the Zimbabwe Cricket’s National Premier Cricket Cup as it draws to an end today.

The nailbiting conclusion will see log leaders and Chitungwiza-based side, Gladiators face Takashinga Patriots 1, while Uprising take on Takashinga Patriots 2 on the final day of the season at Harare sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club respectively.

Mutare Sports Club and Westside Cricket club will seek to squeeze into the top four as the former faces Rainbow Cricket Club at their home turf, while the latter travels to face Bulawayo Athletic Club in Masvingo.

Zimbabwe Cricket’s general manager of cricket affairs, Dirk Viljoen, said this is a fantastic finale no one could have scripted as the title contenders will be going against each other.

“It has been interesting to watch the growth of the young crop. Players such as Kelvin Kasuza are going to be great additions for the national side and we look forward to seeing them play in the provincial set up this upcoming season.”

NPL ratings will see higher ranked eight sides qualify for the T20 competition schedule to start this Saturday at Mutare Sports Club.
