NEW: World Expo: Springboard for Zimbabwe tourism sector’s relaunch

THE Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel Expo set for Bulawayo early next month will serve as a springboard for the relaunch of Zimbabwe’s tourism sector which has shown remarkable signs of recovery.

In a statement, Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe president, Mr Vengai Nhau, said the expo is significant in that it is one of the first major tourism events taking place after the relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown measures.

“We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which is scheduled to take place from October 12 to14 in the vibrant City of Bulawayo. We believe that this event will offer us a platform to showcase the resilience and strength of our tourism industry, which has been on a great recovery path,” said Mr Nhau.

He added: “This event serves as an opportunity to connect with industry peers, stay informed about the latest trends, and forge partnerships that contribute to the growth and success of our industry.”
