THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed upwards fuel prices in both US$ and local currency for petrol and diesel.
A litre of petrol now costs $252,40 up from $213,49 and US$1,63 from US$1,59. Diesel is now going for $264,77 up from $213,90 and US$1,71 from US$1,60.
In a statement this morning, ZERA said the new prices are with effect from today.
“Prices have been set in accordance with oil price patterns on the international market, which the Authority is continuously monitoring.
“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is now at E10. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” reads the statement.
ZERA had last reviewed prices at the end of last month and was continuing to monitor the market as well as provide regular updates to stakeholders while in consultation with the Government and industry.
