New general manager for NRZ

THE National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) has appointed Engineer Lewis Mukwada as the substantive general manager. Mukwada has been the acting general manager since the death of Retired Air Commodore Mike Karakadzai in August 2013. NRZ public relations manager Fanuel Masikati confirmed the development yesterday.

“Eng Mukwada is our new general manager.

“We’re grateful for his appointment because he has vast experience in the railway sector.

“He joined the NRZ as a trainee engineer and rose through the ranks to director in charge of the technical division before being appointed acting general manager after the death of Rtd Air Commodore Mike Karakadzai in 2013,” said Masikati.
