Five yet-to-be-identified armed robbers made off with US$51 000 cash and property worth US$56 650 when they raided a Glen Lorne house in Harare on Tuesday, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has said.
In a statement Friday afternoon, police warned members of the public not to keep large sums of money in homes or business premises as they risk being robbed.
“Five unknown suspects stormed a house in Glen Lorne, Harare, and held hostage the occupants before robbing them of US$51 000 cash and other valuables all valued at US$56 650,” reads the statement.
