NEW: GMB announces pre-planting grain prices for 2024/25 cropping season

THE Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has announced 2024/25 pre-planting prices for cereals.

In a statement on Thursday, GMB chief executive officer Dr Edward Badarai said maize and traditional grains will be purchased at US$335,14 per tonne, while soya beans and sunflower are priced at US$619,31 per tonne and US$712,20 per tonne, respectively.

Dr Badarai reiterated GMB’s commitment to agricultural stability and transformation, saying the newly announced prices aim to assist farmers in planning.
