The Ministry of Local Government and Public Works has warned Pullhill Enterprises and its agencies to stop selling urban State land near roads for development.
In a statement, the ministry said the land in question covers Lot 2 Stuhm in Goromonzi between Murewa and Shamva Roads.
“The Ministry of Local Government and Public Works has noted with concern the illegal developments through the opening of roads and the sale of stands by a company identified as Pullhill Enterprises and its agencies at Lot 2 Stuhm in Goromonzi, between Murewa and Shamva Roads,” reads part of the statement.
“According to Section 43 of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act, Chapter 29.12, the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, on behalf of His Excellency, the President Cde Dr E. D Mnangagwa, has the sole authority to subdivide, lease or sale urban State land.
“Now, therefore, the Minister hereby directs Pullhill Enterprises and its agencies or any other unauthorised entities to stop the illegal developments and sale of stands on Lot 2 of Stuhm.
“Further, the Ministry is advising the public not to purchase the stands being advertised on Lot 2 of Stuhm or any other land or stands that are not authorised, as they risk losing their hard-earned money, and being prosecuted for illegal take up of urban State land.”
The ministry further indicated that law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders were going to take appropriate action on the land in question as per their mandate.
