NEW: Govt in touch with Zim citizens in Ukraine

The Zimbabwe Embassy in Germany says it is in constant touch with all Zimbabweans living in Ukraine to ensure their safety following Russia’s military operation in that country.

In a statement on their Twitter account on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade urged all Zimbabwean students to contact the embassy for assistance.

“Our Embassy in Germany is already in touch with most of our students in Ukraine and is currently working towards assisting its nationals based in that country. Those who haven’t contacted the embassy are urged to do so as soon as possible.

“Those who haven’t contacted the Embassy are urged to do so on the number: +4903023255676 or on email: [email protected].”
