NEW: Govt to launch human trafficking policy document

Government will launch the National Plan of Action on Trafficking in Persons (2023-2028) on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage said Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga will preside over the launch.

“Among the wide stakeholders invited will be Cabinet Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, the Speaker of Parliament, the Chief Justice, the Senate President, the Dean of the Diplomatic Community and our cooperating partners,” reads the statement.

“The guest of honour will be the Honourable Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Minister of Health and Childcare, Dr Chiwenga.”
