THE Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development has rewarded its best-performing staff in the Department of Agricultural Engineering.

This comes after both the Minister, Dr Anxious Masuka, and Permanent Secretary Dr John Basera were named best performers in the 2022 performance evaluation results for Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials.

Speaking during the event on Tuesday, Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Deputy Minister Vangelis Haritatos urged staff to stay motivated and continue to contribute to the revival of the country’s agricultural sector.

“Today we are acknowledging your loyalty, commitment and dedication for the past year,” he said.

“Such loyalty and dedication to the ministry and Government is something special.”

The event is the first of its kind in the ministry.

It saw best-performing employees from different stations across the country being awarded with fertilisers, seeds, gas stoves and smart television sets.
