A NEW gym specialising in body fitness and rehabilitation of injured athletes is set to open its doors to the public in Bulawayo early next month.
According to the owner of the fitness centre, Nathan Greenland, the gym will be situated at the Parkade Centre where there used to be a night club, Paparazzi. The new gym will be called Body Works Gym centre.
“We are bringing a new world order in the gym industry. State-of-the-art equipment will be installed, we will bring cardio machinery and have a rehabilitation centre for injured persons, especially sportspersons,” said Greenland.
Cardio is physical exercise of relatively low intensity that depends primarily on the aerobic energy-generating process.
Generally, light-to-moderate intensity activities that are sufficiently supported by aerobic metabolism can be performed for extended periods of time.
The place is currently being renovated so as to meet expected standards of a gym house.
“It’s going to be an ideal place for business executives as well as sports people,” said Greenland who is also working with renowned retired wrestler Allan “The Ripper” Mpofu.
Greenland said his gym would have a fully operational health bar manned by experts.
“We want to keep it (gym) fresh and an ideal place for the whole family,” said Greenland.
