NEW: Harare gets $1,8bn for road rehab

HARARE Metropolitan Province has been allocated close to $1,8 billion under the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme (ERRP) this year.
The money will be distributed to the province’s local authorities, which are the Harare City Council, Chitungwiza Town Council, as well as the Ruwa and Epworth Local Boards.
Harare City Council has been allocated the biggest chunk of the funds and will receive more than $950 million, while Chitungwiza Town Council will receive over $80 million.
The Ruwa and Epworth local boards are set to receive over $32 million each.
Posting on its Twitter handle, Harare Metropolitan Province said “the province has been allocated $1 793 928 658.40.”
