NEW: HCC, Geogenix agree Pomona Waste to Energy project deal

THE Harare City Council (HCC) and Geogenix of the Netherlands have signed an agreement on the Pomona Waste to Energy project. 

The agreement was signed on Wednesday. 

The Pomona Waste to Energy project is expected to generate up to 22 watts of electricity.  

In a statement on Wednesday, HCC said the project is expected to start soon. 

“The Pomona Waste to Energy project between Harare and Geogenix of the Netherlands has been signed at Munhumutapa Building,” said Council.  

“Work will start immediately with promises that within 45 days there would be considerable progress on the ground.”
