NEW: I’m passionate about film production

POPULAR actor and producer George Jonasi is set to release a short film titled “Zuvarashe”.

Speaking to The Sunday Mail Online, Jonasi, who co-wrote the local drama “Tunga” and played the role of Tumbwiti, said his passion for the small and big screen motivates him to work hard.

“Work can be so stressful and at times I feel like giving up.

“However, when I look at myself, where I have been and where I am now, it motivates me a lot and keeps me going,” he said.

“Zuvarashe” is an entertaining yet highly educational production.

“It teaches people never to look down upon each other.

“Life changes; that is a fact. We see an unprivileged young girl Zuvarashe’s life changing for the better.

“The big lesson in the film is that no matter how kind-hearted you are, life will not always be rosy for you.”

Jonasi started writing stories in 2011 when he was still in school.

Around 2016, he taught myself to write movie scripts using the internet.

In 2017, he started working at Slimaz Pro as a scriptwriter.

“I started co-writing ‘Tunga’ and I also featured as Tumbwiti.

“Two years ago, I then started producing my own films and opened a stable called RealNass Productions with the help of Kudzai Madhanzi, and Chishuwo was my first offering.”
