NEW: Invest in income-generating projects, schools urged

Permanent Secretary for the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr Moses Mhike, has encouraged schools to invest in income-generating projects to lessen the burden on parents.

Mr Mhike made the remarks on the sidelines of the Permanent Secretary’s Awards ceremony held at St Mark High School in Mhondoro this morning.

He said the projects, which dovetail with the ministry’s Heritage-Based Education 5.0, will help learners develop valuable skills.

Today’s ceremony will see eig!ht of the province’s schools that excelled in science and technology, vocational learning and academics receiving awards.
