A Harare commuter omnibus driver has sought a peace order against his ex-wife, accusing her of verbal abuse and embarrassment at work.

Regnal Tanaiwa made the allegations against Ruth Sithole at the Harare Civil Court on Wednesday.

Tanaiwa told the court that Sithole insulted him at the Copacabana Bus Terminus for not providing for their child.

“We have a child together. She follows me to Copacabana, shouts and embarrasses me in public. I do not want her to visit my workplace or my residence because she is violent,” he said.

In response, Sithole said: “I followed him to work because he is always saying he does not have money, yet he is always driving. I want him to take care of his child.”

Presiding magistrate Ms Meenal Narotam ordered Sithole not to insult or visit Tanaiwa to cause a scene.
