THIRTY-TWO (32) households that are part of communities to be affected by the construction of Kunzvi Dam will be given at least 1,8 hectares for immediate relocation, a senior Government official has said.

Writing on his official Twitter handle, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Mr Nick Mangwana said 258 households overall were going to be affected by the construction of the dam, with 32 of them having to relocate immediately to allow for immediate works on the site.

“Murehwa District will have 258 households affected by the construction of Kunzvi Dam; 32 of these require immediate relocation to pave way for immediate works at the site. Some of these affected households are in Wards 28 and 15, Murehwa,” he said.

“Each of the 32 households to be affected will have at least 1,8 hectares for immediate relocation. These plots are ideal for agriculture, schools, clinics, among other amenities to make the resettled comfortable.”
