NEW: Leo Magozz drops “Furuwa” remix

Online Reporter

Award-winning musician Leo Magozz (real name Tavonga Leo Magombedze) has joined the growing list of youthful singers that are remixing old-school classics after he released a rendition of “Furuwa”.

The original song was done by Tairos Tendaupenyu decades ago.

However, the song has been remixed countless times by upcoming musicians and, most recently, by Jah Prayzah.

“I thought about bringing it back, adding a new school touch just to show my appreciation to the legend.

“In fact, this is a way to show appreciation and respect to all the legends that were there before me, the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi, Simon Chimbetu, John Chibadura, and so on,” he said.

“I would also like the coming generations to do the same with my music. I respect Jah Prayzah. He also did the same. We also did a different concept from the other versions, trying to make it more acceptable to our target audience.”

The song has an accompanying video, which features popular socialites Yahya Goodvibes and Mwendaz weDrip.
