NEW: Let’s join forces in fight against sanctions: Chinomona

SENATE President Ms Mable Chinomona has called on Zimbabwe and Russia to join forces in fighting against economic sanctions imposed on both Harare and Moscow by the West.

Ms Chinomona, who is in Russia for her maiden bilateral visit, was speaking at a function hosted by the Russian University of People’s Friendship in Moscow.

“The seemingly insurmountable challenges are easily solved when hands come together,” she said.

“Join us in conducting research that will provide practical solutions to help the two countries bust the sanctions.”

The Senate President was welcomed by the deputy chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, Ms Lyudmila Skakovskaya.
