Mashonaland Central Bureau

MADZIWA FM, a community radio station serving Shamva, Bindura and Mt Darwin, has stopped broadcasting after strong winds blew off the roof of its studios.

The incident occurred on Friday evening, and the station chairperson, Mr Jack Soko, reported that they also lost solar panels due to the severe weather.

“We have suspended operations for now, and we are appealing for assistance to restore the roof and ceiling,” he said.
