A HARARE man hit his four-year-old child against the wall after he had an argument with his wife.

This was revealed at Harare Magistrate Court where Clementia Ndoro was seeking a restraining order against his brother Martin Katumba.

Ndoro alleged that she is also a victim of Katumba’s abusive behaviour.

“When he is drunk he insults everyone around him, including his wife and he once involved his child when he threw the baby on the wall,” she said.

“When I try to intervene he insults me using vulgar language.

“Every time that he starts insulting me, I have to run away to avoid being assaulted physically.”

Katumba denied the allegations.

“I deny all the allegations that she has placed before the court. I do not insult her as she is my sister,” he said.

“I do not know why she claims that I insult her, threaten or beat her.”

Magistrate Ms Meenal Narotam gave Katumba strict orders not to abuse his family or he would be arrested.
