Police in Mwenezi are investigating a murder case in which a man allegedly killed his cousin, after a misunderstanding over a cup of beer.
In a statement on Monday national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
“Police in Mwenezi arrested Tavavamwenye Chamana (42) in connection with a murder case, in which he killed his cousin brother, Brighton Zhou (33) after a misunderstanding over a cup of opaque beer.
“Through its campaign #notomurder Police have warned the public to shun violence that will result in loss of life,” he said.
