THE Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a suspected case of murder in Budiriro after a 35-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend.

The deceased, Moleen Motsi (35), was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Banny Ronjezani, alias Balluba, who is still at large.

In a statement on Wednesday, police said the suspect reportedly visited the now-deceased at her home before a misunderstanding ensued.

Motsi was later heard screaming for help, shouting ‘Ndabaiwa nebanga,’ meaning she had been stabbed with a knife.

Neighbours came and found her lying unconscious on the floor and bleeding profusely from a knife wound on her left shoulder.

The accused could, however, not be located.

Police attended the scene and rushed her to hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

“We strongly denounce all acts of domestic violence and advise couples or partners to seek counselling to settle their disputes than to resort to violence,” said the police.
