RISING sungura star Mark Ngwazi says he is already geared up for his debut United Kingdom (UK) tour, which is scheduled for April.
The singer broke onto the music scene in 2015, and since then, he has largely performed within the country’s borders.
He hopes the UK trip will further boost his music career by opening fresh avenues.
“I am happy to be travelling to the UK.
“I hope the show will not only be financially rewarding, but that it will also broaden our fan base,” he said.
“I am covered since I already have a passport.
“However, most of my band members did not have the travelling documents, including visas, but that is being sorted out as we speak.”
His group, Njanja Express, boasts of 18 band members.
Their first two shows are scheduled to take place on April 7 and 8 in different parts of Leicester City.
The third venue will be announced in due course.
Local artistes who will be part of the tour include Mai TT, Baba Harare, SaintFloew, Holy Ten, Gemma Griffiths, Seh Calaz, Ndunge Yut, Enzo Ishall and Chillspot Records.
