BIKERS from the continent will converge in Masvingo on Friday for the annual MeetInZim bike rally.

In a press release on Wednesday, Titanium MC president Terrence Kwaramba said the organisation is working with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) to ensure bikers gain smooth entry into the country.

Titanium MC are organising the event.

“For those coming from outside Zimbabwe, measures have been put in place for ZTA personnel to assist with a smooth entry into the country at the various ports of entry,” he said.

“A team of Titanium bikers will rendezvous with South African bikers at Beitbridge and then escort them to Masvingo.”

He urged all bike enthusiasts, fans and residents of Masvingo to come out and meet the bikers, as well as enjoy activities at the “street party”.

ZTA head of corporate affairs Mr Godfrey Koti said the authority was excited to host the event.

“As the ZTA, we are excited to be taking the bikers’ rally to Masvingo. Our mandate is to increase room occupancy and increase tourism receipts by bringing people to all our tourist destinations, and, at the same time, creating fun and entertainment for people.”
