Music promotor Faith Mashami says her relationship with musician Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora is strictly professional.
This follows rumours that Mbeu had abandoned his family and was now co-habiting with her.
Mbeu recently parted ways with his former manager Eugene Museredza before roping in Mashami a few months ago.
“I don’t know where all this is coming from. I am a music promoter and I work with several other artistes. I am a professional who does not mix business with other affairs,” Mashami, who was speaking on the sidelines of the Mark Ngwazi album launch, said.
The businesswoman bought a copy of Ngwazi’s album “Nharo Nezvine Nharo” for US$350.
She said since taking over the management of Mbeu’s Mhodzi Tribe Band, the group has already performed several live shows.
“All I can say is that it has been good so far. We have had a couple of shows that were well-attended. We have nothing to complain about,” she said.
Mbeu saluted both Mashami and his former manager Eugene.
“My current manager is taking over from where Eugene left off. He did a great job and I am forever grateful.”
