INFORMATION, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa, has hailed private medical practitioners who are still operating in the country despite the current economic challenges.

Speaking during the ongoing three-day annual conference of the Medical and Dental Private Practitioners of Zimbabwe Association last night, Minister Mutsvangwa said despite the current environment which has been challenging  for the medical profession, a good number of private practitioners have soldiered on.

“I want to thank you for remaining in the country at a time when it is not so fashionable for those in your profession to do so. We have recently suffered a lot of brain drain in this sector,” she said.

She also said Government is looking into cushioning them as much as possible by offering flexible investment terms ahead of foreigners.

The conference is being held at a local hotel.
