NEW: Minister Moyo commissions Soti Source solar project

ENERGY AND POWER DEVELOPMENT Minister July Moyo today commissioned a 160-kilowatt solar power project in Soti Source resettlement area in Gutu.

The project will power Soti Source business centre and a local clinic, as well as Tongogara Primary School and Soti Source High School.

Speaking after commissioning the project, Minister Moyo said the project, which is being rolled out through the Rural Electrification Fund, shows Government’s commitment to Vision 2030 of making Zimbabwe an upper middle-income economy.

He challenged schools and clinics in the area to take advantage of the solar project to improve education and health delivery.

Present at the commissioning ceremony was Gutu Senator and Minister of State for National Security Lovemore Matuke and Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira.
