Kingdom Prosperity Ministries leader Apostle Rodney Chipoyera has taken Harare by storm as hundreds of people are flocking to his church where “miracles” are said to be the order of the day. Apostle Chipoyera, who has been pastoring for over a decade, said his church services “were out of the ordinary”.
He attributed the supernatural happenings to God. The Sunday Mail Religion last week visited the church located along Park Lane in central Harare. There were dramatic scenes at KPM last week as Apostle Chipoyera walked into the auditorium and deliverance took place as the sick claimed to have been healed while those who were demon-possessed testified that they were delivered.
For three hours, the KPM leader gave prophecies and used mentors and anointing oil to heal the sick. Some testified that they were healed after coming into contact with the Apostle’s shadow. One of the women who testified, Ms Lorrein Chigwedere said, “I am married and for several years I had no child, I moved from church to church looking for my miracle but nothing happened.
Recently I was invited to come here and Mama (Apostle Chipoyera’s wife Farai) prayed for me and now I am two months pregnant. Another congregant, Beauty Musekiwa, said she was diagnosed with cancer but was healed after Apostle Chipoyera prayed for her. She further claimed that she did medical tests which certified that she was free from cancer.
The Sunday Mail Religion was shown the medical records. Apostle Chipoyera also prayed for a young man who was also diagnosed with cancer of the blood, and the KPM leader said cancer was a demon that could be exorcised through prayer. Mrs Constance Taru also testified, saying, “We had nothing but God through his servant Apostle Chipoyera is doing great things in our lives, my husband and I no longer rely on salaries, God is just giving us what we need.
“This is our second year attending this church and already we have many testimonies to share. We managed to buy cars, a 1 800 square meters stand and now our house is almost complete.”
Wabo Masole travelled from Francistown, Botswana “to testify the goodness of the Lord”. He said he met Apostle Chipoyera in Botswana last year and since then his life had never been the same.
“I run a security company and when I met Apostle Chipoyera my business was crumbling, I remember I had 19 guards and a single car.
“The man of God prayed for me and now I’m back into business, I managed to buy four brand new cars and I now have more than 70 workers. My competitors are Muslims and before meeting Apostle, they had power over me. Now things have changed for the better,” he narrated.
Masole urged Apostle Chipoyera to spread KPM to Botswana. Apostle Chipoyera said, “All our services filled with miracles, we worship with God daily; our morning prayers and our Sunday services are powerful.
“The eyes of the blind are being opened, the lame are walking and several other magnificent wonders did happen here. Also, our main mission is to deliver people from the poverty demon.”
‘‘All Zimbabweans are welcome to experience God’s presence on our worship night on October 28’’.
