NEWLY appointed Leeds United coach, Jesse Marsch, is a former on-field rival of retired Zimbabwean international striker, Mkhokheli Dube, and the latter remembered their days on the pitch with a Facebook post on Tuesday.

The 48-year-old Marsch, who played in the Major League Soccer with Dube in the United States of America back in the mid-2000s, replaced Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road on Monday.

Dube, who is now into junior football development in Bulawayo after hanging up his boots, played for Michigan Bucks, New Engalnd Revolution and Chicago Fire between 2005 and 2012.

It was during this period that the Highlanders product rubbed shoulders with Marsch, who turned out for DC United and Chicago Fire between 1995 and 2008.

And Dube on Tuesday took to social media to reminisce on the good old days.

“New Leeds coach @JesseMarch, congrats on the new job,” Dube posted.

The post was accompanied by a picture of the two players in an MLS battle.
