NEW:  New passport fees gazetted

GOVERNMENT, through Statutory Instrument (SI)1 of 2024, has gazetted new passport fees with effect from January 1, which will see applicants now forking out US$150 for an ordinary passport, up from US$120.

Emergency passports will now cost US$250.

“The fees payable for obtaining one passport shall be ordinary passport: US$ 150, emergency passport: US$250,” reads the SI.

An additional US$20 will be paid for a Quick Response (QR) code on a passport application.
