NEW: Old Mutual innovation hub launches four start-ups

OLD Mutual Zimbabwe’s Eight2Five Innovation Hub recently launched four technology start-ups in education, finance, commerce and construction.

The innovation hub supported these entrepreneurs by offering an ecosystem of mentorship, business skills development and market linkages leveraging on Old Mutual’s networks and influence.

Speaking at the launch, Old Mutual Zimbabwe Group CEO, Mr Samuel Matsekete, said the hub had impacted over 800 entrepreneurs, while 10 000 people had participated in virtual programmes.

“We look forward to not only launching more start-ups soon, but to also nurturing the next multi-million-dollar unicorn,” he said.

“Over and above this programme, selected start-ups have enrolled for business incubation and today we are gathered to celebrate the launch of TaxPal, E-exam, Zezuru and Everything Zimbabwean, who have completed incubation and are ready for market.”
